MooneyCrafts is a family owned and operated business.

We enjoy creating things as a reflection of ourselves being created beings.

Local

We live in the Great Northwest — specifically in Keizer, Oregon. We have all lived most of our lives in this great area.

We are involved in our community of faith as well as the community in our city.

Hand crafted

Most of our products are created in our own home with various really cool and dangerous tools. As of yet, have not lost any fingers, but have had lots of scratches and holes made! We enjoy restoring, recreating and making new things to test the creativity … and sometimes, it is just a nice challenge to make something new.

Our Story

Our journey with this woodworking stuff started with Mer wanting a farmhouse table. So I said, “of course!” And when went looking. The price of a farmhouse table was more than I thought it would be.

I then went home and started looking online to see what it would take to make one. I found a straightforward video that shared not only the steps involved but the material needed. I ended up making one table and a bench over Mother’s Day weekend with the tools I had on hand (that mostly came from my uncle).

I was instantly hooked and got the bug to make more things. I still had no clue what I was doing … other than buy more tools!

Since then, we ended up selling our home and are renting. So we purposed the garage to be used more for a shop. And have been making many things for home and family.

After realizing that this is a costly hobby I began starting to make extra of what I was making and selling enough to pay for itself. And now fast forward a little bit, I officially started a small business.

I am happy to do this kind of work with my hands as it connects me to doing similar things that The Creator can do. (Of course on an uber small scale!)
